Celebrates Campaign Wins Across Multiple States for the 2024 Election
The 2024 elections were marked by a pivotal shift in how political campaigns played a role in mobilizing voters and driving change. Innovative strategies were crucial in reaching diverse populations, ensuring that voters were activated and mobilized during one of the most contentious elections to date.
In this landscape of heightened engagement, the Colibri Collective excelled at executing impactful, winning campaigns with inclusive, in-language messaging that motivated communities in key swing states — Arizona, Nevada, Michigan, and Ohio — to take action and vote. Our skillfully executed presidential campaigns, efforts to secure a Senate majority, and down-ballot initiatives showcased the power and importance of voting in transformative, community-focused movements. Through partnerships with national labor unions, educational organizations, reproductive rights advocates, and progressive clients, we championed a movement to activate record-breaking voter turnout for progressive policy and empowered voters of diverse backgrounds to ignite their voices.

The team worked alongside the Service Employees International Union to launch Spanish-language digital and radio ad campaigns across Arizona to appeal to Latino families, workers, and young adults. These ads featured relatable, conversational scripts that spoke to the unique perspectives of Latino communities and reinforced progressive leaders as the right choice for worker protection, economic growth, reproductive freedom, and immigrant families fighting for their rights. Additionally, we appealed to audiences' emotions through a conversation between a mother and her daughter to create a connection between the voters and the candidates. This campaign provided Spanish-speaking families across Arizona with information on competitive legislative districts, Phoenix City Council, Gallego for US Senate, and Harris for President.
Our groundbreaking campaign with the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) was instrumental in securing two pivotal Senate races in Arizona and Nevada—both crucial swing states. We executed an intensive assortment of radio ads, videos, landing pages, and digital ads to mobilize historic voter turnout for Rep. Ruben Gallego and Senator Jacky Rosen for US Senate. In addition, the oppositional push focused on exposing the dangerous truths about Kari Lake and Sam Brown. Our messaging championed Rosen and Gallego’s strong record of supporting the working class and their commitment to an equitable future. By focusing on candidates who advocate for hardworking families, our campaigns motivated middle-class voters to show up to the polls and elect leaders committed to their values and needs.
Partnering with Chispa Arizona PAC, we crafted comprehensive campaigns that engaged voters and highlighted the importance of races like those for the Arizona legislature and Arizona Corporation Commission—critical to water security and environmental protections, even if less widely known. Highlights included educational ACC 101 content through OTT/CTV, digital ads, landing pages, mailers, and literature followed by name identification efforts to familiarize voters with candidates and attempt to flip the majority seats on the Commission. Each touchpoint provided information and rallied community support, encouraging voters to engage with candidates who prioritize sustainable change.
The Colibri Collective helped make history as one of the leading digital agencies spearheading mobilization efforts for Coloradans for Protecting Reproductive Freedom in rallying voters to codify abortion (Amendment 79) into the Colorado Constitution. We pioneered a winning bilingual strategy incorporating accessible content through social posts and toolkits to aid in educating and encouraging voters of diverse communities. Our bilingual digital toolkits created accessibility for Latino voters to be informed on the importance of voting in favor of Amendment 79 and its role in protecting reproductive healthcare equity, and preventing government overreach. In addition, we executed one-of-a-kind targeted digital ads for special occasions such as Olivia Rodrigo’s concert in Denver, where our team blended her song lyrics and album design into messaging and digital ads that advocated for abortion rights. These ads provided quick, digestible information and eye-catching visuals to activate diverse community members and vote in support of the amendment.
For their groundbreaking LUCHA Blue 2024 campaign, we launched a mix of digital ads, videos, promotional merchandise, DOOH, and culturally resonant content pieces to empower Latinx voters across Arizona to vote down the ballot in Arizona’s most crucial races. Additionally, we supported events, such as “Jefas in La Lucha” which spotlighted women leaders and encouraged community activation to get out the vote; and “Pachanga”, an event celebrating the community efforts and members doing the work. The comprehensive statewide voter guide with a landing page and literature pieces provided voters with essential election information, and our digital billboards were located in hotspots across Arizona to activate voters. Culturally significant digital ads such as "Weaving The Future" celebrated identity and tradition while empowering the power of voting for future generations.
Our efforts for COLOR AF to mobilize voters in support of reproductive justice in Colorado were championed through a myriad of digital ad campaigns and endorsements. Our comprehensive messaging galvanized voting for Reproductive Justice advocates such as Dr. Yadira Caraveo in her race for Congressional District 8—a pivotal seat for flipping the U.S. House majority. Our collaboration with COLOR AF ensured strong advocacy for Reproductive Justice and Amendment 79 within Colorado’s Latinx communities, emphasizing the importance of supporting reproductive rights through active voter participation.
Our work for Climate Power advocated for the importance of climate justice and sustainability in Arizona, Nevada, and Georgia. We empowered young Latino audiences by curating bilingual videos and radio ads that amplified the benefits of the Inflation Reduction Act compared to the dangers of anti-climate-driven policies. Our messaging engaged young voices to take action in the fight for a brighter, greener future that advocated for good-paying clean energy jobs, clean energy power, and healthy communities. Through our campaigns, young Latino voters took action to protect their communities and vote for sustainable climate initiatives and policies.

For the Arizona Working Families Party, we galvanized voters to elect champions of the middle class and progressive state propositions. As part of this collaboration, we launched a series of literature drops, radio ads, and mailers with a unified message about voting for our families and a cleaner future. This campaign delivered comprehensive information about candidates and policies that supported a vision for Arizona where working families and environmental priorities are at the forefront, ensuring every voter understood the stakes and felt compelled to cast a ballot for a better future.
For Avanzamos Unidos, we activated Latinx voters in Ohio through mailers, this included supporting Sherrod Brown for the US Senate. Our messaging encouraged all generations to vote together and show community power. Ohio is home to one of the nation's most contentious Senate races, and our work engaged the most consequential community that would be essential as the margin of victory in Ohio’s US Senate race.

In partnership with the Arizona Democratic Party, we developed eye-catching branding and promotional merchandise for the 2024 Democratic National Convention to celebrate Arizona’s identity and power. With Arizona's key role as a swing state, our assets highlighted the importance of supporting Vice President Kamala Harris’s candidacy while embodying the core Democratic values that define the party. This merchandise not only amplified the rich heritage of our state but also underscored the vital role of the Democratic voice within Arizona’s political landscape on the national stage.
UnidosUS Action Fund, one of the nation’s premier Latino-led political organizations, led powerful events bringing Latino leaders and voters together, underscoring the message that Latinos are among the most influential voices in elections. With standout banners, signs, and stage graphics enhancing each gathering, we created a dynamic setting for these important conversations. The events featured exclusive gatherings and notable endorsement announcements, including key presidential and Arizona candidates, solidifying our collective dedication to elevating the Latino community's role in shaping the future.
We had the privilege of working alongside the Michigan-based organization MI Poder, in advancing their branding efforts through a comprehensive rebrand. This collaboration provided them with a fresh opportunity to refine their identity and strengthen their community impact. With their new brand established, we constructed bilingual digital campaigns, radio ads, and mail programs to uplift and strengthen Michigan Latinx voices and increase their participation. These messages highlighted the power of unity as a community and taking the stage as “protagonists” who will vote for a brighter future. Highlights included radio and video scripts and digital ads that encompassed down-ballot candidates who would fight with Latinx communities to shape what democracy looks like.
