Team Colibri Scores Another Touchdown
One of the highlights of our year so far was gaining the opportunity to partner with the NFL and the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee to make Super Bowl LVII in Arizona an unforgettable event. The Colibri Collective was the official Spanish PR company for the Super Bowl, and we are proud that our efforts to maximize positive media exposure contributed to record-setting numbers from the week-long celebration throughout the Valley!
In total, more than 6,000 credentialed media visited Arizona for the week, representing more than 24 countries. Our Colibri team members had the chance to interact with many of these media partners, both behind the scenes and in front of the camera. We staffed Super Bowl events, including NFL Honors, while both Karlioppy and Vanessa served as official Spanish spokespeople for the Super Bowl.
The Colibri Collective also provided Spanish translation services for the Host Committee, and served as a local supplier with the Super Bowl Business Connect Program, providing event production services in the weeks prior to the big game.
The marquee events in downtown Phoenix, including Super Bowl Experience presented by Lowe’s at Phoenix Convention Center and Hance Park, saw nearly 300,000 fans between February 4 – 5 and February 9 – 13, including nearly 25,000 fans who enjoyed the first-ever Super Bowl Watch Party presented by Verizon.
Fans also went on a shopping spree in advance of the big game in Arizona. We are pleased that our work promoting the NFL Shop at Super Bowl Experience at the Phoenix Convention Center resulted in sales that outperformed last year’s main Super Bowl Experience store by 36%. This marks the second highest ever merchandise sales at Super Bowl Experience, behind Super Bowl 50, which was open for an extended eight days compared to seven days this year.
While data will continue to be reported in the coming weeks, including a full economic impact report from Arizona State University later this year, we know that Super Bowl LVII played a huge role in fueling the economic engine of Arizona. The Colibri Collective team couldn’t be more proud of the role we played in contributing to Super Bowl LVII’s record-high numbers!
